Established in 2017

Bring Your Own Pet Grooming began as a dream, and in the fall of 2017, it became a reality. Grooming is an essential part of everyone's health—both animals and humans! Our goal is to care for pets as if they were our own. We strive for picture-perfect haircuts and happy pets leaving our salon. However, if we can't achieve both, our main priority is always a happy pet. We want our clients to have a positive experience at the salon and learn to feel comfortable with the grooming process. Grooming will be a part of their lives forever to maintain their health, which is why it is so important to build a strong relationship between our pet clients and our staff.

Samantha Hoffmann

For those who are just meeting me for the first time, I'm Sam- Ive wanted to be a dog groomer since career day in Kindergarden, but that dream morphed a bit throughout the years. In that time I founded an animal rescue, worked many jobs within the animal field and fell in love with the art of grooming 10+ years ago. I went to grooming school in NYC and worked at a few grooming salons in Staten Island before starting BYOP in 2017. I love all the salons I worked at through the years, but I have always had a ton of big ideas (as my parents and now my husband tell me haha). I wanted a different experience for my groomers and my clients. I wanted myself and my staff to never stop learning- to continue our education and use the best products in the industry, all while giving my clients the best service and experience possible. I love this job, this community and being able to be a part of every pets life that comes through our doors.

Blanche, the Head Director, keeps the staff on track with her constant need for attention. She thrives in this role and takes it seriously. On her days off, she enjoys hanging with her brothers, getting pampered, exploring AKC Conformation Showing, and aspiring to be a Grooming Competition Model.

Debbie

Groomer | "All Around Seasoned Groomer"

Debbie had a long career of grooming under her belt before she came to BYOP and we are thrilled to have her on the team. She is great with practically every dog and her faces are to die for!

A little message from Debbie: I always knew I was going to work with animals as I kid because I grew up with them and have a love and passion for them. I wouldn’t have it any other way

Ashley

Assistant Stylist

Making her way from corporate, Ashley found her way to BYOP. Ashley is so dedicated to learning about shampoos and bathing techniques to elevate our service offerings to our furry clients.

A little message from Ashley: During my free time, I love bringing my dogs to the beach to run around and be carefree.

Chloe

Grooming Assistant

Chloe has been with us for about a year now and we absolutely are thrilled to have her as part of our team. She loves learning and perfecting her skills, blowdrying and nail clipping are not as easy as you'd think!

She loves being around dogs so much she even comes in on her days off to hangout at the shop haha!

Ann

Combining Ann's grooming career with her rescue career makes Ann the perfect person to welcome you to BYOP.

She can take your haircut, understand dog behavior and help you with any concerns you may have about your service.

Emily

I'm proud to say Emily is following her dreams and today is one of our Elite Pet Stylists. Emily has worked so hard to be where she is today and it shows. Her dedication to learning and attention to detail is truly inspiring.

Natalia

Natalia is an amazing addition, to our already perfect team. She embodies the true definition of loving what you do and learning every day. I am so thrilled to have her with us growing her skills and adding so much personality to BYOP.

A little message from Natalia: Outside of work, I love to take naps with my dog, those peaceful moments mean everything.

Alianna

Grooming Assistant

Alianna is a full time college student and works at BYOP on her days off from school. She is always trying to make sure all the dogs (AND CATS!) that come through the shop are as comfortable and relaxed as possible. If that's not good enough, she also is extremely detail oriented and strives to do the best job she can possibly do. Her dedication is noticed by everyone.

A little message from Alianna: I love taking my dog to the park to play fetch, or go on trail walks together.

Gabby

Front Desk

Gabby has been on our our oldest workers at BYOP. She came to work with us from the NYC SYEP programs that HS offers elite students, and that were right- she is one of the best. Gabby works with us on her days off from college, studying to be in the medical field.

A little message from Gabby: Being in nursing school can sometimes be stressful, to relieve some of that stress I love to spend time with my pups and walk them on the boardwalk.
